3-27-22--Fr. Craig’s Contemplations Fourth Week of Lent This is Christ Our Lord Jesus came hidden in Mary’s womb, then in Bethlehem, then hidden in Nazareth, in Capernaum and on Tiberias. The mystical life is Jesus hidden as well. Jesus lives in our Church and His presence will be with us until the end of days. Yet Jesus teaches through the church, gives life through the actions of the church, especially in the church’s service to the poor. Servant of God Luis Maria Martinez reminds us that the Church is Christ.
3-20-22--Third Sunday of Lent This weekend, the third week of Lent we turn to the “year A” sequence of readings. From this, we will read from the fourth chapter of St. John’s Gospel. As you may remember, in the fourth chapter of John’s Gospel, Jesus goes through Samaria and Galilee, and He first encounters the Samaritan woman at the well (whose name we never learn). 3-13-2022--We reflect on the glorious event of the Transfiguration of Jesus on this second Sunday of Lent. As God the heavenly Father instructs those then and us today, “Listen to Him.” We are called in adoration to see how we will all be transfigured, from our earthly state to into our new state for all of eternity. At each funeral, when Eucharistic Prayer III is prayed, we hear these words:
