If you are hospitalized for surgery or through the emergency room - PLEASE CALL and let us know. This is one of the most important aspects of Fr. John's priestly ministry… to help bring Christ to people when they are hurting or in need, and you can help out in a big way! When you or someone you love is hospitalized, Fr. John and our parish staff want to be a support to you. Our parish community wants to be of help, but we can’t do that if we don’t know you are in the hospital or one of the area care facilities. With current patient privacy regulations (HIPPA), it is important to remember the following if you are going to be hospitalized for any length of time. When you register or are admitted, tell the hospital: • That you are Catholic; • That you worship at St. Anne-Ortonville; • Give the hospital permission to tell us that you are hospitalized when we inquire. If you don’t provide your permission, the regulations prevent the hospital from telling us! If they aren’t able to tell us, we may not know that you are hospitalized. Also, it’s important to know that hospitals or care facilities do not automatically notify us when a parishioner is hospitalized. The single best way to make sure that we know is for you or a loved one to call the parish office - 248-627-3965 to let us know when you are hospitalized. It takes just a moment to make a phone call, but it is a huge, and very much appreciated help.
