A Message From Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry would like to reach out to our friends at St. Anne to share some HOPE as we prepare for Easter. We are sharing some of our favorite bible verses and hoping they will encourage and inspire you during this difficult time.
Our prayers are with you and your families, God Bless and Peace be with you, Kim and Youth Ministry
Rebekah Devine’s favorite “Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:16
Lucas Lasky’s favorite “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Allison Ressler’s favorite “Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
Sarah Burgard’s favorite “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
One of Kim’s favorites on HOPE “Thus says the Lord: Observe what is right, do what is just, for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed.” Isaiah 56:1
Resurrection Hope (From Catholic Youth Bible Luke 24 :1-12)
Think about a time when your felt hopeless, depressed, alone, angry and/or afraid. These were probably some of the feelings of the women who approached Jesus’ tomb on the Sunday morning after his death. Their leader, their teacher, their Lord had just been horribly executed before a huge crowd, and his wonderful vision of love, justice, and forgiveness had been shattered Then what they encountered in that tomb changed their lives forever. The tomb was empty. Two dazzling men appeared and spoke to them. Jesus had indeed risen! When you think that a situation is hopeless, that no end is in sight, that evil is winning out, remember this story. Along with Resurrection stories in the other three Gospels, this story is proof that despair and death do not win, that God is at work in the most hopeless situations!
